Three areas of practice. Three defined engagements.
Each service is structured around a specific client need, with a defined scope, a fixed fee, and a written output. There is no ambiguity about what you are commissioning.
Back to HomeHow each engagement begins
Intake
Short questionnaire before first contact, so the adviser arrives prepared and the session is focused on your matter.
Document Review
We review your actual tax forms, notices, and financial records before forming any position.
Advisory Session
The session is structured, time-efficient, and focused on decisions you need to make or positions you need to understand.
Written Output
A memorandum or written summary documents what was reviewed, what was concluded, and what the next steps are.
Personal Tax Filing Review & Planning Consultation
A considered review session for individuals preparing Form BE or Form B filings, including directors, sole proprietors, and expatriates on Tax Resident status. We examine your income sources, allowable deductions, relief categories under Section 46 of the Income Tax Act 1967, and applicable MTD/PCB arrangements.
Where appropriate, we discuss restructuring considerations for the next year of assessment — spouse election, rental treatment, EPF self-contribution. The session concludes with a written memorandum summarising what was discussed and a short checklist of documents to prepare ahead of filing.

We also advise on tax incentives that may genuinely apply to your sector — Pioneer Status, Investment Tax Allowance, Principal Hub — and help you avoid pursuing incentives for which the business profile is not a suitable fit. Quarterly written briefings are included.

Tax Dispute Resolution & Appeal Representation
Representation in disputes with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN), including responses to audit queries, notices of assessment, and penalty impositions. The engagement covers preparation of objection letters, representations before the Director General, appeals to the Special Commissioners of Income Tax (SCIT) under Section 99, and judicial review where the matter goes beyond the SCIT's remit.
Our approach is measured and documentary rather than confrontational. We favour well-supported written representations over posturing. Where settlement discussions are available, we advise candidly on whether they are likely to serve your commercial interests.
Engagement covers
- Audit query responses to LHDN
- Notice of assessment objections
- Penalty imposition representations
- Director General representations
- SCIT appeals under Section 99
- Judicial review advisory
